Week 47

 Company News:

IMPORTANT COVID UPDATE

Team,

Based on new OSHA (ETS) requirements for unvaccinated employees and in order to allow adequate time to reach full vaccination by January 4, 2021, we are sharing our updated policies.  This policy is subject to change based on any changes to OSHA requirements and we will provide a more comprehensive OSHA (ETS) policy prior to the implementation date.

Beginning January 4, 2022, Muth will be following the process below:

Any employee who is unvaccinated for any reason—including for medical or religious reasons—must undergo weekly testing as long as the ETS is in effect or until they become fully vaccinated.  The ETS does not require employers to pay for testing.
Muth will provide onsite testing for unvaccinated employees for the cost of $25 per test subject to rapid tests being accepted by OSHA guidelines.
Non-vaccinated Employees will pay for every test via payroll deduction or cash.
Alternative testing sites – which are currently free can be used.  These sites include pharmacies, clinics, etc.  Test results have to be submitted to HR on a weekly basis.  We are unsure whether these testing sites will remain a no cost service after the mandate goes into effect.
ETS requires covered employers to support vaccination by providing employees reasonable time, including up to four hours of paid time at the employee’s regular rate of pay, to receive each vaccination dose, and reasonable time and paid sick leave to recover from any side effects experienced following each dose.
Also, based on all Sheboygan County companies following these guidelines, expect long wait times and low availability of these free tests.

Sup’s and Leads, please share with your crew.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thank you,

Angie Houseye

COMPANY HOLIDAY PARTY CANCELED

Team,

We know this comes as a disappointment, but after careful consideration, the 2021 Muth Christmas party has been cancelled due to the recent outbreaks of COVID cases in our community and feedback from employees.

For the safety and wellbeing of our team members and family members, we feel this is right decision and hope you understand.

Next year, we hope to carry on with tradition!  Until then, we will make the best of the holidays in a safe manner.
