COVID VACCINATION UPDATE

Federal appeals court reinstates Biden's vaccine mandate for large companies

On Friday, Dec. 17, the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals lifted the stay on the federal government's rule requiring covered employers to ensure workers are vaccinated against the coronavirus or undergo weekly COVID-19 testing.

To give employers time to comply, OSHA will not enforce any requirements under its Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) until Jan. 10.

Weekly COVID-19 testing policies for unvaccinated workers must be implemented by Feb. 9 if the rule is upheld.

Petitions have already been filed with the U.S. Supreme Court, asking to immediately block the mandate.

We will continue to watch for updates and share new information as we receive it.

Please remind your members, if they are recently vaccinated or have not reported vaccination, to contact Human Resources.
