Team,
Make sure your beneficiary information is up-to-date to ensure your policy is set up to reflect your current wishes.
It’s important to keep your beneficiary designations current. When you first began working at Muth, you filled out beneficiary information as part of the “new hire” process. Each year, you are asked to go through the beneficiary section during benefit open enrollment for life insurance designation.
As time passes, individual circumstances do change.
Keeping each beneficiary designation updated is important because it determines
how your final wishes are carried out. You should consider updating
beneficiary designations if you:
- Designated
a beneficiary who is now deceased or who has experienced a name change or
address change
- Changed
your marital status
- Designated
an individual that you no longer wish to have designated as a beneficiary
- Never
listed a beneficiary
- Wish
to add a beneficiary
Please make sure to review your beneficiary sections in Proliant for life insurance beneficiaries and Fidelity for 401K beneficiaries. These two are separate from one another and each require beneficiary information.
Proliant: You will find this under the “My Benefit” tab
